Oracle EBS Consultant
Responsibilities
- Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune and maintain the Oracle E-business Suite (EBS) 12i and 11g/12c Oracle databases
- Single node & Multi Node cloning of Oracle EBS Instances in Normal and Shared Appl top Architecture
- Monitor and troubleshoot Concurrent Manager Problems, Performance, Errors
- Serve as day-to-day technical lead for developers enhancements or problem resolutions.
- Analyze, design, develop, test and implement application enhancements
- Deploy code and setup changes to production
- Resolve incidents affecting the operation/availability of global systems, through troubleshooting and implementing known fixes
- Troubleshooting and resolution of application and system errors
- Evaluates and implements new technologies, products and tools used in the application development environment
- Analyze performance issues in the application, concurrent manager and database tiers of E-Business Suite installations
- Collaborate with other technical team members with tuning database queries, reviewing and testing patches, configuration and code migrations.
- Manage relationship with customers to understand customer and project needs and priorities
- Be available for on-call support as needed
Required skills, abilities, and certifications
- 7+ years Oracle EBS administration supporting a production environment in a multi-node multi-tier data center environments with recent skills in Oracle DB release 19c and EBS version R12x
- Experienced in instance patching, cloning, refreshing, back-up, and recovery
- Knowledge and experience with Linux OS and Application Performance tuning
- Good understanding of EBS R12.2 application architecture (including adop concepts, dual file system architecture, FMW concepts, PCP, concurrent managers, workflow, layout of application on infrastructure)
- Experience with UNIX/Shell/Perl scripting
- Expertise in Oracle EBS Sysadmin setup tasks for Oracle applications like responsibility, forms, function, menu and user setup
- Ability to adjust priorities in rapidly changing environments; work well under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex ideas and designs to a variety of technical or non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred skills, abilities, and certifications
- Current Oracle EBS R12.2 experience
- Experience with Oracle products like Fusion Middleware administration and OBIEE
- Extensive knowledge of Perl, Shell, SQL and/or PL/SQL scripting for Alerts, Monitoring, Reporting & Auditing
- Past work experience with Oracle, SQL Server or any enterprise RDBMS systems would be ideal.
