SAP Project Manager

SAP Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Area of expertise: SAP S/4 HANA, Manufacturing, Finance 
  • Manages single or multiple projects 
  • Defines project scope and goals 
  • Creates project plans and deliverables (includes charter, project team members (roles), stakeholder analysis, change and communication plans, project schedule and tasks, requirements and design deliverables, resource plans, testing plans, training plans, transition to support plan, value measurement of work delivered)
  • Leads project team, leads project steering committee meetings, Manages project budget (provides monthly forecast) based on scope of work and resource requirements, Track project costs in order to meet budget, Continually evaluates project performance and updates project and portfolio management tools, Identifies and escalates risks, actions, issues and decisions to Program and/or Portfolio Manager and BRM, Performs retrospectives, Ensures tools are ready (collaboration, tracking)
  • Leads project kick-off meeting, Leads planning workshop, Updates project status in Accolade. Updates include, R, Y, G, go to green plans, executive status summary.
  • Analytical ability and broad understanding of corporate applications (legacy and industry standard SaaS) across different business functions
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed Qualifications for Project Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master (CSM or SAFe Agile) certifications preferred.
  • Has managed at least 3 end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementations as the lead project manager.
  • SAP process area expertise: Corporate applications in Finance, Supply Chain, HR and Sales
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (JIRA, Project for Web), Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Soft Skills required for this job.
  • Looking for someone that is assertive and can manage the scope and budget of the project. Adaptive communication style to address varied and multiple levels of the organization; Highly organized and comfortable delegating and holding team members accountable to assignment and timelines; Facilitation skills in both “remote/video” and “conference-room in-person” environment. Driving actions in situations of unknowns; Self-Start and solicits feedback with time to make.
